Species: Sipyloidea sipylus (PSG 4).

Common Name: Pink-Winged Stick Insect.

Size:  Maximum: Females, 8.5cm.

Breeding: Parthenogenetic (females only).

Eggs: This species will lay several hundred eggs, which are glued about the cage and on the food plant. A very high hatch rate can be observed.

Food: Bramble.

Humidity: Spray lightly every two or three days. Can be longer.

Comments: An easy species to keep for the beginner. It is larger than the Indian stick insect and has long legs. They are green throughout their life cycle, have pink wings at adulthood and are able to fly.
